Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)

Why does ANCOP focus on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)?

Not all can go to colleges for various reasons. And not all skills are learned from formal colleges alone. ANCOP’s support for technical and vocational education or training provides or hones the skills and capabilities of those who are in the marginalised sectors of the society, so that they can become gainfully employed.

The benefits of focusing on TVET are the following:

  • Shorter period of study or training;
  • High demand due to ongoing public infrastructure projects;
  • High paying and in-demand locally and abroad;
  • Faster way to help family

ANCOP Mobile training centres

CFC ANCOP has partnered with the Don Bosco - One TVET Philippines in delivering important skills training to poor out-of-school youth and their parents. Don Bosco One TVET is a network of 18 Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) centres spread across the Philippines. By partnering with this network, CFC ANCOP can respond better to the needs of the poor in far flung areas by delivering the training onsite via the Mobile Training Centres (MTCs). Technical and vocational education and training are quick pathways for securing employment. Watch this video to find out more about the Mobile Training Centres.
