AGW DOWN UNDER 2025

A movement of hope rippled across the continent down under once again. In such a tumultuous year, ANCOP showed the world once more the power of kindness in uniting various communities together. This was demonstrated via the ANCOP Global Walk (AGW), locally known as Australia Go Walk.

This year, AGW Down Under is a 2-month campaign from 8 September to 16 November, culminating on the World Day of the Poor. Throughout the campaign, we witnessed fundraisers rallying their families, friends, and colleagues to support ANCOP’s mission to answer the cry of the poor. It is only apt then to celebrate everyone’s momentous effort with fun runs, games, food, and a ceremonial walk for the less fortunate. You can watch the fundraising festivities in our highlight video here:

What made this AGW even more special was the solidarity in the community when the Philippines was struck with devastating typhoons and earthquakes this year, leaving many families broken and homeless. Together, we have raised approximately $80,000 for our education, community development, and livelihood programs in the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. Of that funds raised, $12,000 was delivered as calamity relief in the Philippines.

Truly, we thank you for your generosity and strong belief in the works of ANCOP. On 24 November, we held an AGW Champions Night where we recognised the top fundraisers and runners/walkers (watch the ceremony here:). In his heartfelt message, CFC ANCOP Australia’s President, Jay Santos, emphasised that “through your efforts, more scholars will be able to continue their education, more families will find dignity, and more communities will experience transformation.” You can also see the full message of our President and our top fundraisers below.
